Hi,

I'm Don Woodbridge, and I just started taking Helicopter lessons last year.
I've been a fixed wing pilot since 1973, and my dad was a private pilot
so I've been around general aviation since the early 1960's.

I always enjoyed aviation, but never had the time, or the money (at the same time) to pursue it much. Now I've started flying again, and got my IFR ticket at the end of 2003. I discovered Heli's in 2005, and really like them. I'm slowly working on a rotorcraft add on to my PP.

Looking forward to visiting with all of you,

Don W.

Welcome, Don!

You'll find mostly homebuilt enthusiasts here, and among them mostly gyroplane guys, but there's a little something for everyone.

I had to look up your airport, 3R9, to see where you were. Not everyone will know you mean Lakeway, Texas. If you add "Texas" to the location in your profile, you might find more enthusiasts in your area.

It would be great to hear about the projects you worked on in your years at Boeing. Any interest in designing smaller stuff, now that you're retired? Do you plan to build a gyro or kit heli?

Hey Don,

You've found the best rotary forum in the world. We look forward to meeting you at one of the many events we attend.

Welcome Don. There are a few helo enthusiasts lurking around here. I'd like to see them post more often.

Howdy Don,

Get to a fly-in soon, it's the change in life for us man and check out gyros for a little fun, welcome.

Don, Welcome to GyroNut World! Will you be able to attend BD Days?
National Gyro Fly-In will be held in Mentone IN. in July.
If not in OCT there is ROC Fly- In that is held in Aiken, NC.
Lots of Great People attend all these fly-ins.
Hope to Meet You at one SOON. MJ :)
