heart valve

Hi Dave

Hi Dave

Hang in there and try to not be discouraged.

We're thinking about you.

Jim Byrd

I have a sister-in-law that had a mechanical valve put in and when its quiet you can here it cycle 10 feet away. It drives me nuts listening to it, but I know its a good thing

Best wishes David; in many cases, due to the increased ifficiency, patients feel better than they have in quite a while following this proceedure... I sure hope you're one of them. stuart

David,
Did they tell you when it was rescheduled for? Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

eight days after going into Montgomery, Al hospital, I'm back with new mitral valve (tanned bovine), new ticker timer (pacemaker) and 1 bypass (coronary arteries were in good shape.

Worst part of it was the hospital food.

Best part was good insurance and "only the good die young"

Amen

Amen

I'll amen that about the hospital food.
Happy you're doing well David.

Best wishes, David. You're in my thoughts......the good ones, not the goofy ones.

David,
Great news now it's time to get that UW back together. Are you going to be able to make it to Bensen Days? I hope so I'd love to hear you scream "Thanks Ernie" in person after each flight LOL.

Hey!

Hey!

You did come through! Cool...

It is warming up and time to make plans to fly again!

That hospital food is designed to increase your desire to heal up and get out ASAP.....

I hope you live a bunch of more years. :)

Jim

Great News David. Welcome back and wishing you a speedy recovery!

Did you ever had or knew someone who had car a/c problems?\
When the valves are bad, the pressure equals in the system and the whole thing dont work any longer.
The valves close thus impeding the blood to return to the other chamber, maintaining direction of flow and pressure.
Blood coming from the lungs are rich in O2 and blood coming from the body is rich in CO2, the heart keeps both circuits moving: short circuit - heart>lungs>heart . . .long circuit - heart>body>heart.
Valves keep those circuits separeted.

Somehow my pc skiped two pages of this thread and now I can see them
Good to hear you are kicking around again Dave, come to BD and have some laughs! (if possible)

David,

Glad you are good to go. Be careful of your medical with that pacemaker. if you need the pacemaker, that's usually disqualifying. Unless you have plans to fly larger aircraft, it might be time to let your medical run out and fly under sport pilot privileges (if they deny the medical, that option closes).

Of course, with the UW, mox nix, no medical needed anyway, it isn't an aircraft, it says here!

cheers
