A great video on formation flying rules & advice came through on the GyroLetter from Magni TX (Dabbs newsletter)!
Always a great read & inspiration on gyro-group outings!

Well darn ...guess the video is unable to be made public ..... anyway I encourage everyone who may do formation flying - join the Dabbs Gyroletter for some good information & Magni TX news! Try by clicking the blue button anyway - worked for me ! ??????

Thank you Christine for the video.

I have a good amount of formation flying experience both in fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. As Ed LeBlanc briefly explained in the video, the spacing is different between fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft.

For those who have not been trained to fly in formation from the military, I highly suggest to seek out proper formation flying instruction before attempting to fly in formation with another aircraft.

Here's some videos and a photo of military rotor wing formations.
