If it holds gas without leaking, you ought to hang on to it. You can't do much better than a seat tank. If you plan to build a fuel tank that IS a part of the aircraft structure, should you crash, and the airframe distorts, it could rupture the fuel tank. The typical seat tank is mounted to the airframe with 3/16 bolts into aluminum inserts molded into the seat.
I have seen the inserts pull out in a crash, but it doesn't compromise the tank.
