Flying in the eclipse

Where i live we will have 99.5% eclipse coverage (we're just south of the path of totality), and since we live on a runway I plan on flying up into the idaho mountains into the path of totality. Might be exciting considering the ruggedness of the mountains there, but I don't want to miss it.
Anyone else flying into the eclipse?
 
And NO you cant log that as night time.

FAR 1.1 Night means the time between civil twilight and the beginning of morning civil twilight, as published in the American Air Almanac, converted to local time.
I don't see how that fits the totality Ed.
