Yeah, now we have resolutions for authorization of use of military force, peace-keeping missions, police actions, Operation such-and-such, and so on, but Congress hasn't actually declared "war" since about 1942 (Romania, during WWII ?), so the term is obsolete practically as well as organizationally and politically. Sadly, it still costs a bundle in blood and treasure. We've got everything from the Marines to Space Force all under the DoD umbrella these days.
