A gyroplane crashed under unknown circumstances upon takeoff in Golferenzo. The pilot died in the crash.

I think it's only ever the third Italian fatal in the "Big 3". Previous fatals in 2016 and 2021.

They have a good safety record, with plenty of gyros flying in Italy - the majority are obviously Magni* machines.


* The designer is still going strong, aged 85. I'm sure he'd like his name to be pronounced correctly !
