While the O-360 is some 70 lbs heavier than a Rotax 915, its 2000 hour TBO cannot be matched by Rotax. I weigh <200 lbs and can suffer the weight penalty for a longer lasting and less expensive engine. The Rotax 916 is squeezed hard for every pony, whilst the O-360 is derated. The only thing more reliable than an O-360 is an O-320.

915 will be getting 2000 hours TBO in a bit of time. 916iS already is. I share my building with a maintenance shop and have Zephyr Engines right next door as well. There are plenty of 0-360s coming in way before their declared TBO to get worked on.
