Early A.C. brakes revist

rebuild airframe pulled main wheels and brake cailper .have gryo on fork lift with fork extensions on main wheel tube . Had to block up main tube to support main frame . I think I heard someone refer to these as go cart brakes . unless i machine casting not go back on as there is no compression just shear on 1/4 in bolt. At this rate be lucky if can fly by July .

Are you saying one brake cylinder has no compression?
I would think you could rebuild it or find another, but if I were rebuilding the brakes, I think I might use cable actuated
bike calipers, they weigh less and you don't really need much brake authority on these.
