EAA corn-Fuzed as use-u-all?

Ugh!

Ugh!

Yeah... I saw that too. I couldn't believe the people reporting this could be that stupid. Just goes to show how little even the quasi-professional groups like EAA know about these aircraft.

I don't know about you, Tim, but as a long-time EAA member I am certainly going to send Poberezny my feedback on this item!

That is Carl Schnieders own design,
looks like a dominator pod.

Most people have never seen a gyro, and if it spins it must be a helicopter!

Enough to confuse all but the avid.

Point Taken.

Domanator-esk gyro!

Don't fret too much over it... at least it's out there for people to see and wonder and perhaps even be curious enough to research it (like I did when I first saw one).

Now look at me... dreaming about gyro's every night.... can't wait to give one a home :)

Very True.

I just have to sigh when people that should know better (EAA) who quote make and model on obscure fixed wings and even got it right on the same darn gyro on the day before's pictures can't get it right the next day. But at least it is out there and they did at least know it was a rotorcraft

I have to rembember to be thankfull for the little things.

Speaking of dreaming of flying all the photos posted today really has me aching to go to the airport. I hope I can get out of work early tomorrow...

I flew to Salem (Ory-gun) for the first time in my gyro. This is a controlled field. I reported 5 miles out: "This is experimental gyroplane ..." When I got within site of the tower, they called and said: "I can see that you are a helicopter. You are cleared to the Helipad." I had to correct him that I was more like an airplane than a helicopter. He asked:" Do you have wheels or skids?" When I told him I had wheels, then he again cleared me to the active runway.

That's why it's a good thing for us to take our gyros to some of the small EAA fly-ins and educate some of those fixed wingers. I'll have to join the local EAA chapter here to use the airpark so I'll be doing some educating in this area.

Good answer!

Well they changed the discription. They are now calling it a gyroplane but fell for the same mistake I made and are calling it a Dominator.

I feel we made progress anyway! Thanks to those who wrote in!!
