Todd and I met Thomas Fernadez at Curt's hangar this morning. We unloaded the Xenon, installed the blades and cleaned the machine. Time for Lunch... We visited with the many gyro lovers from all over the US until the temps cooled down, and then it was time to fly.
The Xenon performed so well down here at this lower altitude. Almost 900 FPM solo. What a kick hovering over the event in the 17 MPH wind, and flying backwards on final.
Great first day..
Bigest surprise... How many gyros are here.. I was hoping this many would show by the last day on Sat. But this is Day 1.. Early bird days... The main hangar is not even open yet...
This may be the best attended ROTR yet ! Can't wait for day 2. Wish you were here !
