What’s wrong with socialism, we have shown the world that our capitalist system totally corrupt and geared to big corporations and the wealthy. Having lived in China, cops don’t carry guns and old ladies and kids don’t get tassered. Sure, there is not the kind of “liberty” we have in our country, the web is restricted, no porno (those bible bashers would hate this) and while 80% of the population is not interested in politics ,most of the political crap is blocked. The annual grow for 2009 is suspected to be in the order of 8,5% while we have zilch to show for. We have a legal system but for those with funds, corrupt just as the socialist way of life. In China every one lives in a flat, medical is universal except if someone’s wife what bigger tits, it cost money. I could go on and on, but if never lived or tasted the ‘today’ socialist way of life you are talking a lot of nonsense. Lastly … we are surviving and paying for our illegal wars and crimes, excess spending and the rest of the BS that our governments was gave to us the last 20 years … with CHINESE money..!

They are different. Communism is a manner in which wealth is owned; while socialism is a manner in which wealth is distributed.

Socialism is inherent under communism; but adopted by capitalism.

Capitalists adopt socialism; as is done in the EEU, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand; thinking it will divert man's communist leanings. This was a great vision of Hitler and most industrialists of Hitler's time. This is the vision of the liberal left - protecting the international capitalist.

However, socialism is stealing, and a crime against Nature and Nature's God. This is the vision of the right.

There are communist socialists like Sharon Smith in the video; and there are capitalist socialists like George Soros and General Electric and their propaganda machine NBC/MSNBC; joined today against the free man in the Democrat Party of Barak Obama.

I am sure the Chinese are wasting no money on the War on Terror, and I understand they're building new WalMarts there every day. Think of all that American money you'd have in the booming economy of China.

How much will you need to get there Fritz? Iraq cost $2B a week averaged over its six years while socialist give-aways in America average $92B a week and is climbing into oblivion. This is our debt to China Fritz. Socialism has this nation on the fritz, unable to pay its bills because it taxes production to give wealth away. China has taken our money spent with them and invested it back in America because they have more than they know what to do with. They survive on our business. While we owe China $1Trillion, rather than pay it with productivity, the socialists want to add another $1Trillion to our debt liability after just having given away nearly $1Trillion to the financial industry to fix the damage caused by other socialist give-aways. Actually, Health care will cost far more than the $1Trillion over ten years they are soft pedaling it with; it will cost that much every year before long while medicare and Social Security costs are projected to triple or quadruple in the next decade.

And here is why, Fritz; they want to merge the planet into one World; binding communism, capitalism, and socialist endeavors into a meritocracy in which no one succeeds outside the box; and this for the leisure of those who would rule over us from their safe governing positions.

No, Fritz, America's staring at her navel and has determined that we owe each other our lives when nothing could be further from the truth. Socialism is theft. Taxing one man to pay another man for his existence is theft, and every working person in America currently loses 40% of everything they produce to socialist programs.

Sir your ignorance shouldn't even deserve answer. Let's put it this way. Everything is wrong with socialism. I know it first hand. I grew up in it. Sons and daughters report parents to government (because of fear) who are thinking differently. Neighbors report neighbors to the (toll free number no questions asked and no proof needed) taxation bureau about additions to houses or backyards. Teachers report students to internal secret services in case of students questioning or opposing the curriculum purposely falsely written. Twisted in a way whereof everything has a left slant to it. History was falsely written and the ideology was forced up on us. And you ask what is wrong with it? Have you ever gotten home from school and you had the secret service sitting in your house with your parents gathered at the kitchen table trying to prove them that they were good communists and their child is only a fifth grader and can't mean much harm? Have you? Have you ever gotten the crap beaten out of you because you wanted to go see a movie with your friends and there happened to be more than 25 of you? Has the police ever shot you point blank close range with rubber bullets on a national holiday because you were 6 feet and over 230 lbs and they felt you were a threat? Or have the police shoot at you with tear gas canisters aiming for your head and laughing at the ones they had managed to hit knowing there is absolutely nothing that can happen to them? What's wrong with socialism? Show me one country where it has managed to survive!!! One! Just one! And let's compare the living conditions and the taxes they pay. Communism is the most twisted, brutal, anti individual, anti success, anti achievement ideology ever created and forced upon people after the 19th century.(Yeah purposely said after the 19th century, Islam takes the lead in primitiveness hands down). Well, I don't disagree with your take on Communism, and Socialism CAN lead to it. I don't much care for either. My question was more engendered by what looked like your use of the lack of freedoms in Eastern Block nations as examples of a reason to avoid Socialism. Those countries are, or at least were, Communist, not Socialist. France & Italy, for instance, are Socialist, or at least largely so, and while I don't prefer Socialism, I will say that those countries are not the Police States that the Eastern Block countries are, or were.

You guys are talking about the excesses of both systems. There are problems with capitalism also, but mostly it worked pretty well, this system was the one with most advancements.
Poor side of town claims the rich are tirants that spend money in things like museums, concerts, music mostly cultural advancements. The poor want food on the table and maybe a job, any job.
That is socialism, the poor sharing things they did not create or provided.
Comunism is socialism stratified, groups of interest defending their turf using all kinds of violence when they atain the power to do so.
All systems are made out of people like you and me . . .just givem them a reason or an ideal and they will turn the way you want them to . . .
If you have or gained something than you are prone to keep the system that is providing the goods to you. Otherwise you will have to claim your stake and then you will be labeled an insurgent.
Choppergabor is not considering the dicotomy in USA, the people (Yes Sir We the . . .) and those who own that nation and dictate what you do or dont.
It does not matter how good you are, the things you do will say who your are as a nation or group of interest.

President wants to socialize medicine, has nationalized parts of the auto and banking industry....

For 37 years I worked 6-7 days a week while a bunch of lazy nae do wells got to live for free off the money they took from me So I worked yet more overtime to get ahead, so the Democrats could increase taxes to take yet more of what I made and give it to those that do not want to work for a living and think it is beneath their dignity to do so......

Any society that rewards people for doing nothing will self destruct eventually, work hard for what you want, let the people keep it, that and than alone inspires them to want and work for more...

Let those that do not want to work stay home and go hungry, let them live the dark and get as cold as I did on those days I went to work outside in the sub freezing weather, but as long as you feed them, give them free medical, and a free place to live they have no reason to get out and better them self and become a contributor to society instead of a drain...

Send the illegals home there is a heap of jobs out there just begging for a body, sometimes you have to swallow your pride and go take a low paying grunt work, dirty job first, use it to get some skill set, then use that to better yourself. I did and so did a bunch of you....

Make the morons that did that video get as active at getting a job and contrubuting to society and not just thinking they can make a free ride for themself...

Am I cruel no just practical, we take care of our elderly and handicapped, they at least have an excuse and most of the elderly worked hard nasty dirty jobs with our any benefits, the handicapped want to work and get out, and they deserve any assistance they get, but you you are healthy, there is no good reason you can not and should not support yourself...
