Update from Lonnie Prince. Prop pitch is carved and sanded, carbon fiber being applied to high pressure side. Next will be to carve airfoil low pressure side and apply remaining carbon fiber. The photo is not very clear but you get the idea. This is the status of the prop as of Friday 8/11/2023. Paint finish will be white with 2 red safety stripes at tips to perfectly match the paint scheme of my Gyro-Tech carbon rotor blades. Will be carrying that theme through the empennage as well; white with 2 red stripes at tips of H- and V-stab and rudder. Should look pretty nice, one hopes.

Update from Lonnie Prince: Propeller sanded, balanced and 3 coats of clear urethane sealer coat applied. Next steps are to sand, balance and apply 3 coats of urethane base coat. Mine is the lower prop in photo.

I'm sure this will be worth the wait, but wow... had no idea it'd take a year and a half to get one after ordering. I'll admit it's pretty awesome getting to see all the steps involved in crafting this magnificent spinny-thing. Kind of the theme of this build so far... way more work than one might first think.

Christmas came early. The long wait is over. I am the proud father of a new Prince Prop. Arrived last night. What a thing of beauty to behold. Thank you Lonnie Prince! Even the tip stripes are perfectly proportioned to match those of the Gyro-Tech rotor blades. Anxious to see it all come together. I've heard one of these props many years ago and left an impression how super-quiet yet efficient it was. Paired with the 503 intake silencer it should help tame down the noise. Now let's get this beast finished. Will be a busy winter.
