GREAT color choice ...my candy-apple red ("Festey2") is a show-stopper everywhere it goes ... when I first picked it up ...flew as G462 from Yass to Goolwa in April for the 2017 ASRA Nats...(Award winner!) on up to Jamestown for a visit with Downing family -.a J-hook flight through W NSW up to my childhood hometown of Stanthorpe - then down to hang out at the Caboolture hangar for 2 weeks (beach-time @ Mooloolabah) for me!
6 weeks ~3000 Nmiles ...first 60 hrs hobbs-time!
After a couple of months container ship/rail journey to USA ...I got it registered N456TE Airworthy inspected & flew off the US required 40 hours(for experimental) ...first show was @ El mirage Ken Brock freedom Fly-in in CA. We got best gyro & longest flown-in to event ...my friend Britta in her MTO & I flew from Britta's airport in AZ San Manuel ...I had trailered it from my KS home!
picked up various awards @ Mentone Bensen Days and EAA Chapter88 in the years since ... it's an eye-candy machine ...and I believe that is one of the top-selling colors for TAGs!!
