Todd seem to be something wrong, for some reason no one logs on untill I do.
no matter what time of day the room will be empty...oh well like thay say log into chat and they will come..

I've re-installed the chat room. Its a newer version of the room we had previously and appears to be working very well. We had 5 people in it this evening and had a great discussion. Check it out:

Meet VIDYADHAR on the chat room tonite, It appears he was talking thru a digital translator , was very interesting but unfortunately short as it seem he was having internet problems. Great to see International interest but must keep in mind when we have a international guest in the chat room to try to use as little slang and abbreviations as possible if a translator is being used .

Mike, I could be incorrect, but I think you are getting that message because you need Flash to run the chat room. Are you using IOS? If so you are out of luck. Really should be runnning HTML5 or JavaScript. Flash is a degraded protocol, and is a major risk for malware.

Yes Dave is correct and Chrome and one other browser (IIRC Microsoft explorer) have announced that they will no longer support Flash because of the malware problems it can upload to your computer.

Flash only runs when a website calls for it. It has been a direct-X facilitator for over 20 years, not that its good. Its just that Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom forced the world to embed either Intel 8086 machine code to access low-level processor interrupt calls, or use a shortcut piece of software (like Flash) to make the calls. Flash has nothing to do with Javascript, other than js being usually the calling software to Flash. HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. It is the fifth and current major version of HTML, one that's covered by recent Browser releases. As such, per good programming practices, HTML should not touch any low-level code.

So what I suspect is that the chat room is not set up. IIRC is: Internet Relay Chat, a traditional piece of Internet software, covering the protocol perhaps supported by the previous forum software.
