According to the FAA Aviation Safety Information Analysis and Sharing August 15,019 Experimental Gyroplane Cavalon N477AG “rolled left and struck ground after takeoff” with substantial damage. One person on board and no injuries.

A Cavalon with this same N number on landing rolled over on October 23, 2016 in Hondo, Texas with substantial damage and moderate injuries.

The registered owner of this Cavalon has a Sport Pilot Certificate for Gyroplane and Weight Shift Control Land.N477AG.jpg

I hate to see a repeat of a prior disaster, but I'm delighted that moderate injuries in the first instance were replaced by none in the second.

P.S. "Moderate" injuries may be a helpful term for statistical purposes, but that's not a good reflection of the pain and difficulties for the one who is injured.
