Yeah..... another media created frenzy.
we got gas here.
yeah this sounds alot like the toilet paper shortage that happened a while back! Go wipe your a$$ with leaves twigs ain't gonna work when people can't find gas! more like mad max beyond thunderdome shit going on!

I really want to come, wanted to look at that Nano. Be we can’t buy gas in my home town. Scared it could get bad?

Plenty of gas around here..... good crowd so far...... more expected tomorrow!!

Rained in Cola (local expression for Columbia, SC. and the opposite of Atlanta where no local in their right mind would call it Hotlanta) yesterday, pipeline reopened at 5:00 and all the gas stations are open. Looks like nothing but blue skies, 70-80's from here on out. I was going to fly the Wicked in but put the tandem Yamagyro on a trailer today instead. Are there going to be any time-to-climb contests? LOL. Looking forward to seeing Barry Thigpen (home 'port) fly his formerly Matt Novotny-owned and built Dominator tandem, chopped down to single, now with a wild Rotax 670 100HP (correct me if memory fails and I've got this wrong) smoker do his infield antics and shenanigans, taking over such previously occupied seat from Ron Awad.

What IS it about this airfield and the warm hospitality, outgoing friendliness, and absolutely incomparable great weather that seems to go with this fly-in every season? There is, quite simply, nothing like it - time and again.

U.S. gyro fly-ins have fluxed and evolved over the past decade, with the historically largest main-events flagging to just a handful of flying examples and participants with, at the same time, the smaller, more typically localized ones like Wrens and Barnstormers growing dramatically. With the 2021 COVID recovery this trend is likely to continue.

Still no gas here, about 70% of stations still out... Y'all have fun.

Plenty of gas driving from the fly-in to a wedding in FL just now. 99% stations have gas. Just filled up $269.9

Fun, fun,fun.....

I laughed so hard Saturday night my eyes were soaking wet. Remind me of that deadline again, wasn't it June 29th?

I feel kinda bad I didn't show up after talking all that smack!, I left out this morning at 8am in my himax at a ground speed of 75mph, my himax felt like it was hitting chop and the nose was yawing left and right like a boat but it wasn't bumpy. I made it a quarter of the way there and something in my gut told me this isn't right so I turned back and crabbed back at 40mph, I didn't sleep very well that night either. I think the two days earlier had spoiled me cause it was thermally but super low winds and awesome!
