Hello there, I am a licensed sport pilot with the FAA. Later this year, I'll be traveling to Europe, and I'm considering hiring a gyroplane while I'm there. What must I complete to serve as a pilot in command in Europe?

There's typically a notation on a Sport Pilot certificate that reads something like, "Holder does not meet ICAO requirements". That's where the trouble lies. The International Civil Aviation Org (ICAO) is set up by treaties that control cross-border privileges.
