Hello Kai,

I live in Quebec/Canada near Montreal. Last week, I fly tested a Calidus and started a gyro formation on MTO Sport.

What do you want to know exactly?

Hello,

I wonder in which class the gyro is registered. Is it a GA craft or experimental or LSA type registration. I know nothing about the CDN registration procedures, but we all hear about the pains in the US. So I was just nosy.

Kai.

In Canada, all the gyro that are registred must be certified machines that come ready to fly from the manufacturer. AFAIK, only Magni M16/Orion and Auto-Gyro MTO Sport/Calidus have been through all the steps to be accepted by Transport Canada.

You need to be or hire a certified avionic mechanic in order to do the maintenance on the machines.

The license is specific to the autogire and the training require 45h with a minimal of 12h solo and 12h in dual.
