C-4 "Centenario" Autogiro project

Hi,

we selected the Verner motor 80 hp, but we have two problems.
The first issue is lack of money, we are doing the whole project based on our own resources. We are in conversation with some institution and companies ( Airbus Helicopters and others) to get some financial support but up to now no money arrived. The only support is from ELA that gave by free a set of blades.
In theory, some money will be available by next year, let see.
From the other side, even having all the financial support, he deliver time is huge, the current status is from 7 to 8 months, and doesn't fit in our tight schedule.
The back up plan has been to use an old Rotax 80 cv from one member of the team. Just having financial support we will buy the Verner motor.
The autogiro will have the new motor installed in the best scenario by the very end of 2023 or in 2024.
Juan,

You and your team are performing a marvelous job in constructing the C-4 replica. I just can't wait to see the video of the first flight!

It appears that the prelaunch device is not installed.
In this case, you can launch by hand, and accelerate very gently, taking care not to exceed a forward speed such as V km/h = Rrpm/3
(i.e if 60 rpm, then maxi 20 km/h). This, according to my spreadsheet with 8.5 x 0.22 m rotor, 3 degrees of pitch setting , and +18 degrees of hub relatively to ground (as showed on your picture #1)
But it's certainly better to wait until you have the prelauncher installed.

Until the end of 2023 is still good to celebrate the centenary!

We did the test of the prelaunch in the autogiro for the first time. Up to now all the test has been done in the test bench tower, in the test bench we got 180 rpm. But in the ship, not very good, we have to do a better gear adjustment but we was running out of time to pack it and go to the Air base for the presentation January 17 we only di one trial, no more time.
The Spanish Air Force has the annual "open doors" this year in Getafe Base and we will fly there with all the helicopters. So we have more time, but not until the end of the year, until spring time only.

Days elapsed 358/ Days pending 0
Yesterday we presented the C4 gyroplane project at the Getafe Air Base, the same place where it flew for the first time 100 years ago.
It was a presentation attended by representatives of the Air Force, the Mayor of Getafe, Airbus executives and other guests. We made some presentations of the project and, of course, we exhibited it in one of the Airforce hangars.
I hope you like the photos and videos. The project team is in one of the pictures

Great accomplishment. Keep us informed how all the test flights are going.

I am wondering maybe I didn’t look at the pictures close enough. Is the rotor fixed and control is done with those flappers on the stick?
