This auction comes from the carefully curated collection of Gerald "Gary" E. Goldsberry. He built/owned/flew Brantly helicopters and gyrocopters for over 40 years. His passion for the industry showed as he served as the National President of Popular Rotorcraft Association and on the Board of Directors for over 20 years. He was a CFI and held an A&P rating. His interest in Brantly helicopters led him to own 9 Brantly’s at the same time! To keep the Brantly fleet going he purchased the majority of parts from the factory when it closed in the United States.

Highlights: 1960's Brantly B2B, 2000 Brantly B2B, 1964/65 Brantly 305, 1964/65 Brantly 305 parts, complete set of Brantly blueprints, engines, blades, & massive amount of Brantly parts!

I counted 7 sets of Gyro Rotors on the auction sight. Quite a few sets of SkyWheels.

Anyone know what became of Garys Mac Powered gyro ? I would love to put a bid in on that

HI Ron, His Mac was donated to the museum at Mentone. It was a good one, wasn't it. Shelly
Yes it was. That gyro put on many a good airshow performance. That gyro and Dave Praters were both gyros I always wanted a chance to fly!

Here is Dave's flying alarm clock. When Dave passed away his gyro wound up on a farm in Illinois or Iowa (I can't remember) My friend up in Wisconsin called me and told me he bought it and wanted me to go through it and install an electric starter. He hasn't flown it... this may be your chance. p.s. the farmers painted the tail of Dave's immaculate machine and it sure corroded and got ugly. Such a shame!

So who all scooped up some rotor blades or other goodies?

I bid on all the blades but didn’t bid high enough to get any.

I did get the winning bid in on the project gyro. Hopefully I can get in touch with someone to get some measurements so I can get set up to drive up and haul it back home.

So YOU'RE the one that outbid me... Hope you treat her right!
What blades are you going to put on it? I was going to contact Denis for Razor Blades.

You ought to drive up on Sunday and visit the hangar that Gary started, we are about 30 miles west of Moorseville
