Some shots from a most enjoyable trip last year.

Chuck Roberg getting some SparrowHawk time. Chuck is a wonderful addition to the instructor pool. He will be training in Sparrowhawks....and I no doubt should have some rough edges to my flying rubbed off by him.

What more can I say about Jim Logan...and icon in my book. I was thrilled to get a ride with him. I can only imagine what he could teach me.

Pat Mcnear was my new flying buddy. I had way too much fun being flown over some of the swampy ground sw of Wauchula. We spotted an alligator and circled back for a second look. Pat is just a natural pilot and he has one hot RAF.

Terry Eiland gave me my first lesson in a gyrcopter ever. What a skilled pilot and very easy to listen to. I could use many more hours with him.


I bought my SparrowHawk through him...and was happy I did.

Duane Hunn is another skilled pilot. Those thousands of hours those RAF guys accumulate says a lot to me. They are masters of those gyros. Duane gave me a very impressive demonstration of his stabilator.

Ron Awad was everywhere. He sure enjoys this sport and loves to talk about it.....huh Ron?

Rick Martins nice Bee. It was enjoyable just watching him have fun.

Gary Goldsberry puts out quite a performance show with his Mac.....

Then there are the thrust tests. These are typically held 100 feet from the BOD meeting going on at the same time.

Harry wasnt there very long....I wanted to talk to him more.


Jenny was there to pick up dad at the airport......



Aw...this was a lot of fun. I cant wait to see what photos excite my cameras pixels next week. Hope to see all of you again and more.

I think that's me with Rudy in post #13, photo #1. You're in the video of me flying with Rudy. As we were taking off, there you were. I'm going to start hanging with you on the runway to get some better video.

Tim: I had a lot of fun out there along side that runway watching everyone else fly. That was one of my favorite times.......I love to fly...but this was enough entertainment for me.


I never will forget seeing the G-force come in. I was completely out of the loop about that landing gear. All of a sudden here he comes down ....and I thought that guy is going to hit hard. He did....then I witnessed the gear all fold up and thought....oh my god....he tore it up. Then he takes off and I thought....what the heck? I soon figured it out.

Stan, I would go every year without question if I could afford to !

We just can't pull it off this year. For me to fly down would cost as much to bring the whole camper & gyro, especially if two more people would come with to split the cost with.

Last year, Larry B. drove with on the way down & flew home. He helped very generously with the gas. He also rented the car & picked up Ben A. at the airport.

All it would have taken is 2 other people from here that want to go as badly as Shar & I ..... & we would be on our way.

Thanks for the pics & you all have a great time. We will be sitting this one out. It will probably be the best one yet!

We have our sights set on ROC. Don't know about Mentone yet?
