Kermit the enclosed gyroplane kit too to the air for the first time today.

Test pilot was Mike Burton and the aircraft and Yamaha engine performed excellent. More details later but initial impressions are incredible.

Congratulations, Heath!!!

I look forward to some flight reports and hopefully video in the near future!

Thank you all for your kind words. Mike flew from rochester to Mentone tonight and the response was very cool the unveiling of a flying aviomania was really cool.

I can't upload to the forum from my phone so you will have to be patient for pictures or goto my Facebook page. Sorry

I & my passenger ...a fellow Chapter 62 member saw Mike Burton flying Kermit into Mentone from the Rochester testing grounds ... late this afternoon .. we were high ...he low ... we did a high escort onto the downwind for C92 36 ... enjoying the sight of the bright green Genesis gyro ... making its US debut -in-flight .... Heath is naturally on cloud nine to see the fruit of all his hard work these past months finally in the air! What a beaut!

Congrats Heath & Mike!

Can anyone tell that Heath is on cloud nine?

Michael Burton says it is fun to fly. I enjoyed hearing that Yamaha-distinctive sound even though it is a 4 cylinder, four-stroke yamaha...
There is also a tandem Dominator here at Mentone with the Yamaha 3 cylinder that also has that same distinctive Yamaha four stroke sound, besides mine.

Congrats Heath.

I can tell you some people didn't believe you would get there.

It seemed like too much power for a single seater.

It's great to read it went really well. Have fun.

Cheers
Erik

Congratulations, excellent news - enjoy Kermit

Congratulations. Heath

At last a Genesis gets airborne in the USA. It has taken a while.

Congratulations Heath, everyone now looking forward to the pictures.

Is anyone surprised to hear that Heath is driving home with the GCR trophy at Mentone?

On the ground & in the air! The first Genesis to fly in the USA. Heath has been a dynamo to get his ride ready to fly and a huge effort to bring it out in the gyro community @ ROTR & Mentone.

Again - sincere congrats on the double Grand Champ awards ROTR and PRA 2015 convention GC rotorcraft. :first:
