Stan, a suggestion if I may. Get some sort of program like Photoshop or any cheaper one that allows you to adjust the brightness. Some of the pics I take are really dark and bad, but by lightening them up some, they become "masterpieces." Not all darker photos need them, but you can often save some that would normally get non-posted.

Ken, maybe it's the screen on the laptop I use...Stan's pix look normal to me, but yours look a little over-brightened, "washed out" to use the term I've heard from photo buffs. Just my observation.
