Hi All:
We designed the AR-1 right from the start with lowered keel so we could add a convertible option with an enclosed canopy on it.
The purpose of this would be to allow pilots in cold climates to be able to fly an enclosed gyroplane with effective cabin heat in the winter months and in summer be able to take off the canopy and enjoy the amazing motorcycle like feel a semi open cockpit with windshields allow.
We are going to be finishing our tooling for the canopy here in the next couple of weeks and have contracted with Aero Windows in Lake Worth, Florida to use our tooling to make optically superior canopies for us.

Aero Windows is the supplier of aviation glass products using thermoformed vacuum forming to the US military and has an excellent reputation for doing these things and they are just a few hours away from us.
The shape of the canopy is enhanced over Apollo gyroplane to make the angles more meshed in for better flow and appearance, it provides 2 inches of extra headroom to be able to fit up to 6'2" tall person with some room to spare and will be able to fit on any existing AR-1 with skilled labor.
Watch for the canopy pictures coming ahead when we do a first production run.
In the mean time, enjoy a picture from our assembly shop here in Florida. 2 gyroplanes next will not be registered in the US and will be headed to China along with a trike.
Also Tim Verroi in SC just bought our prototype AR-1. Congrats.
