Anyone near Fort Dodge, Iowa

Hallo Mike,

I'm always on the lookout for salvageable helicopter wrecks. My problem is, when I find one, I have to be there to strip out the salvageable parts, pack them up for shipping to Australia, and dispose of the unwanted scrap.

I traced a good wreck down in Florida, Gabor offered to help, but the deal fell through. I now have a quarter of a machine in Fort Dodge IA that needs stripping up, packed in a box, and shipped down to an agent in Stanton CA.

If you are interested in doing it for me, would the Rotax 582 engine be of any use to you? If you strip up the basic remains of the machine for me, and pack only the transmission assemblies and some basic control parts, you can have all the rest of the useable parts. This includes a 582 with electric start, with all it's pumps, engine instruments, cooling and exhaust related items, but minus a reduction gearbox. In the heli install, it did not have it.

Let me know if you are interested.
