I got in a little less than an hour flying up here near Portland, OR with showers in the area. It was interesting to see the saturated and flooded ground from the air.

Sorry my pictures are blurry this time.

This first picture is a car junk yard with many of the cars under water...near the Tualatin River which is over its banks.

Last picture shows Lenhardt airfield (home base) upper left-of-center, also left of the large flooded river (normally creek-sized) and fields.

Yup, Jack Lenhardt and his son (mows the grass and other stuff) and daughter (takes care of the books) are running Airhaven, based at Lehardt (7S9).
Cool deal he sent me a video awhile back of a fly in he had there and got footage of a nice J-2 flying and a walk around.
I traded him the hobby copter for a J-2 project he had.

I wonder if he still has the Hobby copter.

last i heard he played with it some then retired it as a collectiors peice.

Gary, was at PDX last week, it never stopped raining the 2 days I was there.I heard some parts have had 28 days of straight rain? 28 minutes of rain in Los Angeles and some people think they need to start building Noah's Ark again. When flying over the Oregon, it was really waterlogged when the ground was visable. Southern Washington State looked even worse for wear. Glad you were able to get some flight time in. Stay high and dry.
