Well, I tried to upload the photo on the cell phone but this site will never let me upload it without taking time to reduce the resolution/size. This one was the only one I saw that MIGHT upload from its size.
I should be working not posting to my favorite friends but I have no time to reduce photos! Sorry...

Here is the actual picture after receiving the airworthiness certificate. Big smiles. All the pannel were left open for the inspection.

Does the engine get enough airflow behind the big cabin space to keep it cool?

I do not have enough experience to give you an honest answer.
It has a fan on each of the two oil coolers that we can turn on or off from the cabin.
If it has a problem you know I will report it. If not you might ask me again after I've flown her for 10 hours or so if I do not remember to tell you, Dave.

Was filling out the LODA as Ron's delegate.
It asks for Pilot certificate #. Fine for me I entered my Private Pilots #.
But what do you enter for those without any Licence? = "Student Pilot" or blank.

Typical gov forms. It would appear you have to have a certificate # before you can get a LODA to be trained to get your pilot's license. = After you no longer need training in her.

stopped caring at 1000
Student certificates have numbers, too, and are non-expiring plastic these days (also easy to get with IACRA). My glider students all have them.

The former paper 24 month things are gone.

I think you at least need a student pilot certificate.
It use to be a 24-month student certificate with no #.
But things have changed.

If you remember back to the good old days, it was a combined student pilot certificate and third class medical. The medical certificate had a number.

I represent that remark = OLD.
That is why I was so perplexed with the from. The last time I saw a student pilot certificate it was paper the same as the one I had with no #.

Nice looking ship. I seem to recall there was an issue with the tailboom tube connections at the cabin on a similar design but I don't remember the details. Seems it had something to do with metal fatigue and inadequate stress relief but can't be sure. Is that something that's been either addressed or looked at with this design?

I hadn't heard that about the ARGON's.
Need input...
Has anyone a post from a report or instance of tailboom tube connection problems?

Only thing I remember is cracked tail boom on Xenon in Australia or New Zealand.
In Xenon kit forum.

I may remember the same one in Australia. But wasn't that suspected several hardtail strikes???

.

There have been more than one in last couple years ... spotted by accident while working on adjacent components .... I believe it was cracks where it bolts to the fuselage ... at first the factory suggested it was from pushing down on the back to maneuver in the hangar .... but when second one found I think a bulletin was sent out .... I think there is even a thread around here somewhere.

I believe UK investigators had a report .... I recall it was very detailed .... I had no reason to save the link at the time .... sorry.

Yes, that's the issue I was remembering. I brought it up to ask if the Argon design differs from the Xenon at this connection.
