We bought an 18a for it's motor, and are looking to sell the rest. Is there any market for this? Currently have not started disassembly, but it has sustained some damage to the tail when the hangar it was in collapsed from wind. I can get pictures if wanted. Trying to find a value of this, any help would be appreciated.

A shame to have the engine pulled; usually when this happens, it never flies again.
Does it have the Farrington mods (hush kit, collective trim, etc.)?

I don't know many answers, like I said we bought it for the engine. We did know the previous owner, and have all the log books, but it hasn't been flown in 15 or so years, and the tail suffered some damage when the hangar fell in due to high winds... We might be open to trading for a good O-360 and leave this intact... Engine only has 1100 hrs TTSN. And a constant speed prop with about 200 hrs from what we can decipher from the log books. I am really trying to find some contacts that know about these things to find a value, and if it is rare enough that it should be saved before we part it out. It is #67 of the original 68 that I believe were built.

There are only about half a dozen still airworthy.

The hush kit is obvious at a glance. If there is a nice curve below the engine down toward the tail boom, it has it ( see the red one below). If instead it has a simple straight vertical edge there, it doesn't (watch the white one taxi by for comparison).

Sorry, terrible photos from my phone. I can try and get some better ones if wanted.

I'd love to have an A&S 18. Not that I can justify owning one.....
