My Air Command meet around 20.000 people today.

With the assistance of my good buddy Scott Essex we had the pleasure of being in the Buggy Days Parade today.

It's a once a year 4 day outdoor event our town has to celebrate Buggy Days. Our town used to be the Buggy manufacturing capitol of the world before the dumb ol gas engine came into play.....

About 70,000 people come though our town in these 4 days but most are here on Sat., so 20,000 is a conservative number.

Any way I got the OK from the Chamber of Commerce and printed up some signs. Then Scott and myself mounted them on some foam core and made some really nice looking signs advertising our Sport of Gyroplanes.

We had plenty of interest and may have come up with about 5 more really good prospects of becoming gyro pilots that we know of.

I listed my phone number on two of the signs and expect to start getting calls soon.

Here's a few photos, my wife took them (I love her but she's not the best at taking pictures), Hope you enjoy them.

a few more, Oh buy the way,,,, that's my Granddaughter in my gyro..

Scott's wife Mama Gyro (Mary) took some photos also. I'm sure he will be posting them soon.

This parade is about 2 miles long and these photos were taken in a less populated spectator area, the real crowd in downtown on the square....

Great job, guys. You can tell by the way some of the people are looking at it they must be thinking something like, "What in the world is that?"

Good publicity for Gyros and this forum Phil. Way to go. I like the way your grandaughter was pointing at the rotary Wing Forum sign in the 7th picture.

For fun , in the next parade you could attach a bunch of helium party balloons the length of your rotorblades ..... that would add fuel to the sideline debates .... can that thing really fly .... how does that thing fly ..... I think the balloons hold it up.......

In the very first photo I thought that that was what he had done, then saw it was the float behind.

Good job Phil.

Most of the questions while going thru the parade were, "Does that really fly, Do you fly that, Let me fly it one time?

Actually my granddaughter (Jasmine) was doing the Parade Wave that I taught her. She got very good at it, she was waving with both hands toward the end.

Scott's family got some photos and I think maybe a video that should be posted soon.
My brother took some too I'll try to get them and post them also.

Most excellent Phil, bet you had fun at the same time?

There were so many people it was hard to get good shots without someone in the way. We had a good time.
Great job Phil! :D

Didn't get to park afterwards, by the time we got my rotors off and everything loaded back up all the parking was gone. Next time I think I'll reserve a place to park.

My wife took photos and the start and Scott's took photos towards the end of the parade. If you look at Scott's first photo that's how the people were for about a mile or so between my wife and his.

Scott, nothing wrong with those photos. Came out nice considering the circumstances.
Thanks for the help, couldn't have done it without it.
