I'm not a pilot but have been lucky enough to fly in Mi-24 Hind, Mi-2, Mi-17, Lynx HAS3, Gliders, GA
Good to see innovation and new ideas.

Queries.

Are any of these machines more than prototypes.
Are they in serial (kit) production.
Do any of these machines sell.
Which countries are they being registered in.
Are there any up and running flying on a regular basis other than the prototypes.
Do they conform to any build/engineering standards.

Is an affordable helicopter an oxymoron.
What is the definition of affordable.

If you can warrent haven it, its affordable.
Sumone with too much money can afford it.
Sumone who can save more by haven it cant afford not to have it.

I like the Edm Aerotec Coax 2D. But as far as I know, it will not be sold as a kit. That's a bummer because I love to assemble a kit and do the maintenance myself. I would not be allowed to do the maintenance if it's anything else then a amateur built... maybe the rules is a bit more generous in US when it comes to ultra light helicopters?

Are any of these machines more than prototypes? Are they in serial (kit) production?
Though many started as prototype, several of them are going to serial production such as Hungaro copter, EDM Aerotec,

Do any of these machines sell?
Cicare, Helisport Kompress, Dynali, Aerokopter, Scout Skyline & Konner are selling well. Investors from China and Russia are pouring significant investments to scale up.

Which countries are they being registered in?
Mostly France, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Canada, China & Korea

Are there any up and running flying on a regular basis other than the prototypes?
Konner K1 & SKT Helicopters are flying on regular basis.

Do they conform to any build/engineering standards?
Mostly to Very Light Rotor crafts (VLR) EU standards.

So far I have learned from online research since 2009 that Ultralight helicopters & VLR tend to be more affordable to procure & operate relative to copters like Robinson R22 & Guimbal Cabri
