comment: The best "How to design an autogyro in a nutshell" paper I have seen so far. Although the author is right that you should not try to design your gyro based on this paper alone it is the most complete introduction to the topic of autogyro design I have ever come across.

Hello everybody

Thank you.

You can also find the scilab code at:

http://brunozilli.altervista.org/alterpages/files/GYROBLADES_GLAUERT_MOORE_PENROSE.sci

and the drawings at:

https://sites.google.com/site/ingbrunozilli/rendering-attico/r-c-a--radio-controlled-autogiro

Soon I'll be posting something numerically better than this first release, that is fine just for rc models.

Ciao

Ciao, for those who're not familiar with scilab, this is the path:

1) installing scilab, it's free and certified

http://www.scilab.org/

2) open the scilab editor, first button at high-left

3) open gyroblades.sci

4) execute it on scilab

You should obtain the graphical representation of 5 blade path points.

Well,I have also seen this file and it seems really helpful..but the contents are only for a r.c. model..can I use the information in chapter #2 of this file to build a full size model?..

Thanks for any help in advance..

regards

Well, thanks a lot for your advice..I am not going to use the values cause they're meant for small gyros only..but can I at least use the same methods for building a full size gyro?..

regards
