Does anyone have a recommendation on a Transponder with ADS-B In/Out that can replace a Becker AR4401 transponder? Ideally would want one to use the current size interface opening in panel.

Thanks,

The Garmin GTX-45R looks like a good solution. What panel interface would be connected to it?

Inquiring Mind mentioned the following with Trig TT22, Trig TN72 and Trig TA-70 for ADS-B Out and Garmin GDL-50R for ADS-B In with weather. The Garmin GDL-50R support wireless or wired to Aera 796/795 displays.

For ADS-B In - Connects to portable Aera 796/795.

I've been using the Trig22. The head unit for it will fit in that same panel opening as the Becker. But the guts of it (shown underneath the head unit in that bundle pic) can be placed in a plethora of more convenient places, taking up less space right behind the panel.
That Trig bundle would give you everything you need for ADS-B Out, aside from actual wiring and a transponder antenna

Remember that "In" is basically a totally separate deal – however, to ensure that the ground antennas are transmitting where you are, you (or someone near you) need(s) to be broadcasting "Out".

Yep, I use that combo, except I use TA-50 GPS antenna instead of TA-70, because TA-50 is cheaper while meets FAA requirements.
For ADSB-In I used both Garmin GDL-50 & GDL-50R, IMHO 50R is better choice. Garmin Pilot app on Ipad connects to GDL-50 via Bluetooth and gets traffic and attitude and GPS data from it.
