I've designed, built, and flown 4 different ultralight gyros. Amassing parts for a 2 place now.

400+
The Gyro Techinc prerotator is in production. It works very well and, like everything they make, it as beautiful as it is functional.

My decision to build the Sky Rotor out of steel tube fits my skill set. I have a lot of it left over from building airplane fuselages.
I have complete confidence in the bolted aluminum tube just as JonSu has designed.
I am going thru the painful process of sizing the steel tube.
Is there a spreadsheet available that compares the strength of tubes comprised of different material?
That would be nice!

I'm sure there is a spreadsheet somewhere Welder, but I use Matweb.com to compare materials.
