Fellow rotorcraft enthusiasts...Let me vent a little bit. I was at Gary Goldsberry's place a couple of years ago, talking to Shelly and just looking through all she had. As most of you know, they have been overwhelmed trying to get his estate settled and developing a good plan for the place and for all of his rotorcraft do-dads.

Most of my attention centered around Gary's personal B-2b. I probably spent an hour looking through the logs. I knew what I was looking for because I spent seven years deep in my logs for mine, from 2000-2007. They were complete since new and right beside the helicopter, there on a desk or table. My friend who was there with me elected to not buy the ship and instead bought a Hughes 269a/TH-55 and a perfect ultralight Mosquito that was built and test-flown buy the factory.

Now, for why I'm angry. The estate auction is in progress now and Shelly tells me she cannot find the logbooks! There's very few folks who could benefit from possessing those very important books! I am really at a loss to imagine anyone taking them. As you all know, the helicopter is worth 5 cents on the dollar without the logs. If anyone reads this who has any possible idea who may have removed the logs from Gary's barn, your idea might solve this mystery.

Thanks in Advance for Any Help.

Bryan,

It is unfortunate that the logbooks are missing at this point in time. Hopefully, the log books have been misplaced into a box or to a different location.

Unfortunately, there are people in this world that just have to pick up something that does not belong to them and move it to a different location after handling. They live their life in that manner. They were taught by their parents, “Look with your hands, not your eyes.” This is exactly why we often see signs stating, “Look, don’t touch.”

The logbooks would only benefit someone that was able to buy the Helicopter for far below its true value.

I'm having a hard time imagining anyone would walk away with a logbook(s). More that likely after all this time in a box somewhere? Got thrown away? Possibly, who has been minding all of this stuff for all these years? I see an occasional post from Shelley (sp), when I respond I never get anything back. My guess, gone and forgotten, misplaced, not stolen.
