I got to say the homebuilt community is great!!!!! We have a Rans Dealer on my airport, Tim is his name. Well he has seen the Geo package before it left as a trade for the piece of junk 583 I got from William Walsh in Olympia Washington. Tim was very interested in maybe doing the same thing for his Lehole 5151, a Geo conversion that is not getting ripped off. We have talked on more than once in a while, really neat and very knowledgble guy. He also works for Trek the hover pack guys. Anyways he has seen the 583 ripoff that I just went thru, and this morning brought over a 582 DCDI for me. Said it was complete, within limits to be put back together, it was running when he took it apart just to check it out. He said it was sitting on his shelves for while, he new that a project I had going needed a engine now and I could have this one if I wanted it for a bit of change. He was right, it was very little he asked for it. I gladly accepted and put it away. Now my project has a 582 that I will replace the rings and seals and get it back into the air for under $700 total. Tim is a really great guy and I can not thank him enough. One thing I have noticed over the years is there really are a great lot of guys in our organizations, on our forums, on our airports that are the greatest we could every have the chance to meet , so every time I say I am gullable for being ripped off, I am wrong I am just used to dealing with a great bunch of people. I must say I have had quite a few nice chats with people on here and great support too. I would just like to say thanks to you guys also for the support, information, ideas and just being what you are.
