This is just a report on my engine. I am VERY happy with the engine so far.
I can cruise in my Super Fly at 75 mph @ 5200 RPM with a 4 gph fuel burn. It is silky smooth and sounds great.
Max engine speed is 6500 RPM. I have a 62 inch three blade Warp drive set to 15 degrees. I have a 2.65 gear box. My prop setting alone is a testament to the incredible torque this engine produces down low and therefore the increased reliability due to lower engine RPM. We don't need no stinkin four strokes! ;D
Re: 2si 690-70

I flew with a guy in a trike that had the 2si 690-70. It realy seemed to run well and he was very happy with it. He did say he needed to change to a 4 bladed prop because the 3 blade w/ the 3 cylinders was causing a resonance. The prices are much better than rotax. If I decide I need more power in the future, the 2si will definately be one of my choices.
