I'm thinking of selling my fixed wing and buying a new or newish two-seat enclosed light-sport gyroplane. I know about the Calidus and the American Ranger. What other good options are available in the US?

Magni M24 & M26
Niki Cruise & Kallithea

Take a look at the Aviomania! The manufacturer is developing a convertible model if you are looking for an enclosed model. Our prices are very competitive. Please see my website on my signature block below. [RotaryForum.com] - 2024 LSA Gyroplanes

Peter is correct - attend Bensen Days and fly everything that you can. That's what I did
prior to building my AutoGyro MTO. I discovered that what I thought I wanted turned out
not to be the best for me. I have flown with Peter in the Kallithea - very nice machine.
I live in Arlington, VA near the Pentagon. California would be very inconvenient for me...

Hey JJ…… this is your personal invitation to attend our Spring Wing Ding. Lots of gyros….food….flying and friends.

We’re not too far from you and your welcome over anytime.

Forgot, there’s also the Ela Eclipse

and the whole Xenon / Zen1 / Tercel / Argon family

Most of these choices have their own mechanical issues/weaknesses. You're not likely to easily learn about such from those who either sell or instruct in them. Caveat emptor. Don't take a vested party's word for much; ask around. Pretty paint and slick brochures are only that.

Thank you, I didn't know that. Does it qualify as a Light Sport? I'm a Sport Pilot ASEL so that is a critical requirement.
JJ: I live in Virginia and took Barry up on his offer to attend the Carolina Barnstormers Spring Fling last year. Their airport is probably a 7-hour drive from Arlington. It's worth the time and attendance, especially if you don't attend Benson Days in FL (coming pretty quickly).

The best way to assess your options is to visit Bensen Days and Sun'n Fun in April.
Come and talk to all major manufacturers, spend few bucks on demo flights, and save a lot of money by not getting the "wrong" gyro...
These two events, back to back, are definitely worth a week's trip to Florida.
The times I've gone, I also attended Rotax maintenance courses at Sebring, which was very useful since my gyro has a Rotax engine.
If you restrict yourself to a couple of hours drive from Virginia, your options will indeed be very limited.

What would be your suggestions?
