Looks like you are pre-rotating with those U-joints at sharp angles. That will break them eventually. Instead of getting parts with more strength, I would get the procedure corrected and it will stop breaking.

No you are not correct. I personally put on more than 20 uses on it just training someone to fly their gyro. Anyway, up to you.
