Did the guy call and talk to you or has everything been communicated over emails? Call me old school, but I never take anything too seriously until there has been a voice conversation over the telephone.

A bunch of posts in this thread... I only bothered to read a few of them. Not even sure what happened with this accident, but do see that a hard linked nose wheel is being partially blamed. In my opinion a hard linked nose wheel DOES in FACT, make it harder on the pilot and DOES in FACT...

If you want to go minimal and cheap and effective... You could put together something with a airspeed indicator, a bicycle speedo for rotor tach, and a Tiny Tach for engine RPM and hours. You really don't need much else. And really... You don't even need anything at all. My Gyronimo...

Ive used bicycling water bottles ( and holder ) on several gyros. ZERO chance I would pay over $100 for some fancy pants Rotax bottle

Hope whatever is happening results in more gyros being built. I have been told there hasn't been any new gyros built and sold in over a year

You will discover either the easy way.... Through advise from good folks here on the forums... Or the HARD way... By purchasing some junk pile gyro and finding out its actually junk.... That the price of entry to a good solid basic starter gyro is going to be at least $6000-7500...
