    Subaru 2.2 Holley 350cfm 2bbl manual choke

Thanks for the feedback. I had always done the same with throttle pumping during warm up, but hated having the engine running that rough til warm. I did install the choke assembly and it works well.

Kolibri's Korner -- a "blog" by a new RAF owner

Thanks for the feedback. Mine must be different than most others. Original owner removed the individual coil packs and replaced with single electronic coil directly to distributor. Can't find wires long enough to go from distributor to plugs with 90 deg end at distributor. Wanted to find some...

Chris, Greg Tillery here. Met you last year at Mentone. I see in the forum you used McCutchen Sky Wheels on a RAF. I have a RAF 2000 that still has the old style blades and hub bar. I've flown and liked the Sky Wheels on other gyrocopters and want to use them on my RAF. Would you advise me on...

Hello SARAF, Question. Are you not manufacturing parts in the Canadian facility? I was going to order $200 worth of parts, but the shipping was $230 to the US. I assumed it was that high because it was being shipped from SA. Greg T

    Carburetor Subaru 2.2 Fuel

j bird, ok that makes sense. Mine has redrive with max rpm 5100, cruise at 4000 and 36 advanced. If I retard to be able to use 87, it probably wouldn't fly:Cry: Thanks for the info.

    Carburetor Subaru 2.2 Fuel

j bird, did you mean to say 87? Subaru really only needs 93 or better to keep from knocking. You'd probably have to retard below 31 with 87 and that would give a pretty good power reduction.

    Carburetor Subaru 2.2 Fuel

Fuel with octane higher than 91 is getting harder and harder to find. Been using 93 when I can find it. Also been looking on the web for information about octane boosters. Not really reading anything about it that gives me any real confidence that any of them work that well. Anyone have...
