    How do you mean the cheek plates? Although the picture is blurred...look on AC website it's slightly clearer. If they have inserts going into the torque tube and a one piece u block its likely the same. Maybe it is strong enough. As I said...surely someone out there knows the history of these heads.

    There seems to be a few variations of AC heads. A lot have a 3 piece bolted U block as on your drawings. On the new AC website it shows a torque tube like ours. Not a clear photo but you can see the counterbore torque tube. Someone should know.

    Just looked at another hub bar and that isn't recessed so yours may be different

    No. Should just slide out. May be tight on the recess

    If its what you're talking about it's 2 piece and they are recessed into the torque tube. Should be able to push them out from the opposite side.
