    R44 Emergency Autorotation for Real.

As far as I recall it was a faulty earthing connection in the switch itself and periodically on shut down one set of mags was alive , we were not allowed to fiddle with it and the AMO had to fix it, it was a flight school aircraft so it was well used

    Some xenon maintenance

Doing a 300 hour service on a xenon we decided to clean it up a bit, regarding the 25 hour blade inspection does anyone else remove it at 25 hours ? This is the second time in a few months I have done this and it’s showing no signs of cracks and it’s a real pain?

What’s your opinion on this? Reading the thread above it’s stated the failed blade that killed two people (RIP) had...

Rotor blades - Airworthiness Directive - Celier - Trendak - Argo

Wonder if the elongated holes were brought on prematurely possibly by under torque of blade bolts early in the aircraft life? The book says 22nm and that is not much ? Then next page it says 25nm ? we are busy with a blade service and some other work Dave wants to drill out the last hole and we...

Rotor blades - Airworthiness Directive - Celier - Trendak - Argo

No not hard at all....I would like to see the blades after another few hundred hours of flight time at MAUW then we can decide if this “new” remedy is the bomb? ....the accident that provoked the now 25 hour strip down and check SB ..the blades came off just after the hub bar? One would think...
