Ideas to save my dominator build

In Colorado you need heat, later air conditioning. I'm taking it all apart and starting over with a folding mast. Lots of complications. But the same is true of the Yamaha motor. Bigger prop means taller mast and that's an even bigger problem then. I'll contact my dar and see how to proceed...

Advice on seats and wind screen for dominator

Well the lightweight kirkey is 11 lbs, stock seat was 17. So I've got 5 lbs for an aluminum tank. If I can find one. So I'm goin with a kirkey. Now still need a windshield. But I don't need that to fly. I just can't find one. Does everyone make their own from lexan ?

Advice on seats and wind screen for dominator

Ive been looking at racing seats. The carbon fiber are really light. But they must carbonize 100 dolar bills and laminate them into the frame. Too much for me. Looks like aluminum is stronger and about the same weight fiberglass. Just about twice the money. Big question is half or full backrest...

Advice on seats and wind screen for dominator

Moving on with this build I need a seat. I'm not really a fan of the seat/ tank combo. But it saves weight. Iv seen kirkey used on the gyrotechnic it's great but it's 30 lbs plus tank. On the other end is the comfort light from free bird innovations. It's 7 lbs. Air Technic has fiberglass at...

Ideas to save my dominator build

Well the tipping is a no go. While I have a 3 car garage only 2 basicly square garage doors. I think I'd have to take off a gear. Wich might be easier than removing the front gear. But if the front gear comes off I wouldnt need help. I'll try that next.

Ideas to save my dominator build

You know I feel stupid to not have thought of that. It won't work tipping it back but I haven't tried forward. I use rollers on my ppc to move to sideways. I could put that under the two gear and just roll it out. Not really convenient but I can't see putting a joint in the mast. Just to move it...

Ideas to save my dominator build

Well all good considerations. I don't mean to in any way comment on another's life. I've already been divorced. And while it will lose me friends and followers here, I can't divorce. She's cute, been really nice to me, owns a 32 and probably would not give me a quick triple tap ending. So on...

Ideas to save my dominator build

Well to make a long story short. I can't move my dominator build around any more. It's too tall. Ive been tipping it back to clear the doors but it's getting dangerous. And eventually I'll have a tail. I need to tip the mast lower. I don't want to build a folding mast. Too heavy and complicated...

    High Altitude Gyro Flying

Udi, I have similar concern. I'm building a dominator and with the Yamaha engine, and higher altitude of 7000 ft I need 2 more ft of rotar than the 23 ft stock dragon. I could add 1 ft on the bar and use 24 ft sport copter blades. I could go bigger but at what point do I need to increase the mast ?

    Available rotors discussion.

Hi want to thank all of the contributors for excellent information. I have time to consider this, but I'm using a Yamaha, so Vance my balance starts off altered, I'll have to compensate, but that is a great point you make. I will research the weights of all the suggestions. Is there advantages...

    Available rotors discussion.

Hi everybody. I'm in the market for some rotars. Dragonwings are not available, so I'm looking at my options. Trying to decide if aluminum extruded are a good fit for my dominator single. Option that I know of is : Sport copter extruded Tango - extruded Skywheels, when available- composite...
