Mounting a Trig ADS-B Out Package in Sport Copter Pod

I edited my original post on "cross talk" to differentiate between the position-source-only box and the GDL 82. I'm not clear on exactly which devices Trig includes with its "package", but I'm guessing that their "out box" is merely a position source, because that is all their TT22 requires for...

Mounting a Trig ADS-B Out Package in Sport Copter Pod

If worried about "scrutiny", one always has the option of turning the transponder off when it's not required... The weather and traffic features of ADS-B In are quite nice, though, and one can only be assured of receiving "in" when transmitting "out".

Mounting a Trig ADS-B Out Package in Sport Copter Pod

The Trig TT22 transponder only needs a GPS/WAAS position source. That device usually just gathers the position information and supplies it, by wire, to the transponder, which then uses its "extended squit" capability to transmit the data "out". I don't think there is any serious problem with...

Mounting a Trig ADS-B Out Package in Sport Copter Pod

I understand your issue... in general, higher and more level will be better, even a bit higher up on the pod. The antenna wants to "see" as much of the sky as possible. But until you are able to test it, it's pointless now to change it. Where did you put your transponder antenna?

Looks nice. Do we get a view of the face of the pod too? I might be a little worried about the angle on your GPS antenna...

    Viral Aerosol Spread Simulation

I think a fairer statement might be that less than 3% of the American population have been GIVEN (or indeed have access to) antibody tests at this time. I have been waiting for one since mid-March, when I first exhibited symptoms. I'll wager that, when the dust settles on all of this, the...

    Viral Aerosol Spread Simulation

This is the essence of prejudice... There are going to be lots of people who already have immunity and are not going to be infecting anyone. But in your judgement, they are "a-holes" just prima facie, based on what they are wearing.

    Viral Aerosol Spread Simulation

We may know what it looks like, and what its genetics look like, but we still don't know exactly what it is, in terms of how it infects and kills a small minority of people, while others who are infected seem to show no symptoms at all. What it is NOT is some form of the flu, which seems to be...

Now THAT is the crux of everything! Those in government always get paid, They are essential (even those not actually at work these days), unlike most of the rest of us. I just read this in The Spectator (UK) "certain figures bear revisiting — Covid’s roughly 290,000 deaths wouldn’t raise a...

If he had 176 hours of which only 29 were PIC, it seems like he had lots of dual-instruction time (but yet not much in this make/model).

If you read WAY down that report, it says this: "Schluger says it’s still possible that hydroxychloroquine can play a role in controlling COVID-19, perhaps as a way to prevent infection among people who are at high risk of getting exposed to the virus, such as health care workers." That doesn't...

    Performance Calculation of Gyros

That's basically what happened to my old boss Steve Fossett: "Klieforth suggested that Fossett may have encountered downdrafts of up to 2,000 fpm, resulting in a violent crash into terrain. Klieforth says he observed lenticular clouds and a “cap cloud” obscuring the summit of Mammoth Mountain on...
