    Flapping warning device

I doubt that centrifugal stops would stop it. I think they are only for keeping the blades from moving during taxi....and disengage at a fairly low rpm. I tended to agree with Fergus that the rushed procedure of disengage pre spin.. stick back and full throttle could lead to mistakes but if...

    Flapping warning device

"Similarly, having a prerotator system which does not allow the rotor disk to be tilted back while prerotating is inefficient in operation, and results in a 'bunched' sequence of actions while transitioning from prerotation to takeoff roll....." Spot on. As far as I'm aware this is not...

    VIBRATION IN THE STICK

I've asked before but is this accepted practice by the cable manufacturers?

    A question for gyroplane pilots.

Just the other day I tried pulling away in my car with the handbrake on. I've been driving for decades....wasn't fatigued... under the influence or under undue stress. It happens. We call it a brain fart. I wonder if these incidences are mainly on mto variants where pre rotation occurs stick...

    Amazed they still entertain us.

    A question for gyroplane pilots.

I agree Phil. In the days of poor or no pre rotators the recognition of blade flap was learned during hours of runway work. The only aspect that would help here would be that it'd be ingrained "stick back"...and any problems reduce power and forward stick. Like I said....our brains go funny...

    A question for gyroplane pilots.

Seems to be an unwillingness to abandon the takeoff when things aren't looking familiar. Doubt they ever found themselves at 60 knots with all wheels on the ground with an instructor in the back. How you instill that the correct action is to pull power rather than pull the stick back I don't...

    Crescendo Build

Unless it had a 2×2 axle the mainwheels well be further back...which probably accounts for what you describe.

Did the Merlin have suspension Leigh? Jim Montgomerie moved the wheels further back when he designed the suspension.

    Gyro Technic, Inc. Rotor Blades

Not sure of the full story. Rotordyne copies. Don't think the authorities knew about much. However the pilot test flying the machine encountered uncontrollable vibrations and was lucky to save the gyro. I've read that leading edge Unbonding on Rotordynes is not catastrophic....this could have...
