No apologies necessary. We all get stumped now and then. Glad it was a simple fix.

    A new tractor design

Others have chimed in on this subject, but I don't think you're taking their advice to heart. Your lack of experience is leading you to solve problems that don't exist, create problems where there should be none, and over-estimate the performance of a two place gyroplane. Do you have any flight...

    MTOsport - N498AG - Texas - trees

I agree. I learned to fly just before moving map GPS became common, and relied on paper maps. After planning my flight, I always kept aware of wind direction and my general location. "I'm 6 miles east of Wherever, and should be crossing river X in 15 minutes", etc. I continued this practice with...

I set the new user registrations to Manual Approval. I am looking into how to set up a Verified User Category after reviewing their initial posts. Be patient, both Todd & I have multiple real-world jobs to keep us busy.

Coriolis...is it a force, or an effect?

And in that case would the correct phrase be "retreating blade stall"?

    Looking for constructive criticism!

Unless you specify that the aircraft must meet Part 103, it's misleading to say that you don't you need a license.

This is an interesting topic, and I appreciate the responses. I'll have to review this thread when I have a little more time.

On the flapping and lead-lag blade oscillations (in German)

Jean Claude mentioned Coriolis in a post above. I have a question about it, but didn't want to side track this thread so I started another: https://www.rotaryforum.com/threads/coriolis-is-it-a-force-or-an-effect.1144631/

Coriolis...is it a force, or an effect?

In the discussion of forces, real and imaginary, in the thread On the flapping and lead-lag blade oscillations (in German) Coriolis is mentioned. Is Coriolis a real force, or is it an effect that depends on frame of reference. I have always understood it to be an effect, but the more I think I...

    CTL hang test angle

In 2007 at Bensen Days we measured the thrust off set of several gyros. The Dominators had a low thrustline offset of 4 to 5 inches. Bart Hutchinson's Ultrawhite was 4 inches, and I believe it was Tim Verroi's 582 Dominator with pod that was 5 inches low. My Bensen was ~1/2" high with 6 gallons...
