  • Hi Marion I hope you and yours are doing well. Thought I would let you know I am flying more than ever 3 or 4 times a week. I got my sport gyro license, and have the gyro in a huge WWII bomber hanger at Madras about 20 miles from home. I met an X Vietnam heli pilot that also has a Sport Copter 912 so we have some things in common. We meet at local airports and do some flying together. Have a good time at the KBFFI.
Dudley and I are back in Las Vegas. Stayed on the road for about a week longer than planned but was a good trip. So glad to be able to talk with you and family on the dry lake. Sounds like I missed the exciting part with the winds.

My filing system wasn't the best on the trip and I've misplaced your email address. Mine here in Las Vegas is [email protected] if you could resend.

    Thx - Kevin & Dud
Continuing road trip with Dud, the black standard poodle. Stopped in Monterey Bay and headed to Seattle next. When we get back to Las Vegas, I'll send you pictures from the Philippines. So good the talk with you and the kids. Hope to be as sharp as you are when I get to next year . . at 65.

Hello, My name is Jackie Fagan and was reading some old posts and came across one where you were telling of SuperMac conversion to 90 hp Mac. Can you tell me who did the conversion and what is involved? I know the crancase is milled down, center port is plugged, some sort of reed valve system to isolate crossflow, and small line to lube center bearing. I will soon be building a modified Bensen w/ soft landing gear and horizontal stabilizer on rudder. Can you steer me in the right direction, please? Please use PM

    Thank's, jcopter

    Hi Marion;

    Enjoyed it.
Setting up Bensen Days currently and wish you could make it!?

    Hey Marion,
Well I got another 2.5 hours of practice on the runway on Saturday..... I've got a problem with balancing on the mains, when the front wheel lifts off the ground it comes up to the left (with NO wind at all) and I'm thinking I've just got the stick to far to the left (even though I've focused on keeping it centered ) and that is why its coming up to the left...... once I get this figured out and stable I'll take it a little further until it lifts off..... but I've destroyed one gyro and don't want to do that again, so I'm taking it easy until it feels right. If I'm not flying but the time of the flyin I'll not be bringing it out, I'll just bring my car instead.
    See ya next month.....

    Hi Marion,
How are your doing? Donna and I are well up here in Woodland. My Bonanza is back in Arkansas. I took it back for an autopilot install and of course we had a glitch with the stec controller. I flew back home on Southwest pending the repair. It turned out to be a good decision as the 10 days promised has turned into 25-so far ha ha. Give me an update on you,
    Blessed wishes

    Hi Marion,
Just wondering how your doing and if your getting any time in the air...
I've been working on my gyro and have got it just about ready to go, I just need a prerotator and hope to get that real soon.
take good care of yourself & keep in touch,

    :usa2:Miss Marion,
    Spring has Sprung...
    THE WONDERFUL SEASON OF SPRING
It is official, the warmer weather has come. Spring has been in our neighborhood for some days. It has been so nice. The warm breeze and sunny days gives one a new outlook on life. The tulips and crocus are peeping out of the ground, children playing and people rushing to and fro. Everything will come alive again. The budding trees, the grass so green, the happy birds, mean everything. The long cold drab dampness of February and early March is springing forth with newness of life. All around us is freshness and beauty brought about by the northward path of the sun in orbit bringing new life that was resting and waiting for warmth that all life depends on. Think about the design and order of our world, the beauty, the blessings, and most of what we all enjoy, is free. Think about that!
    :usa2:Miss Marion,
Thank you for coming to Mentone in the mid 2000's. Your short time there I got to know
you a bit more. Of course, I read all you ever wrote all these years. Remember your SAFETY COLUMN all those years. And your talk at the banquet was interesting to everybody. Our first time ever women "Rotorcraft Gyroplane CFI". Marion has walked the walk, and can talk the talk with any of us.

Terrific writer on many subjects, Book author on her successful "'BORN FREE" a personal
story of her life, family, and Aviation walk from tail dragger airplanes into a love for GYROS that never quit. A must read for every interested Gyroplane person out here.
Gogle, marion born free and click on the BORN FREE BOOK, WATCH THE MOVIE then order the book if you wish. You will like it I promise.
