    What is HS

Thanks ... is the CLT now a requirement on all new gyro's ? if so does that significantly limit design variance & evolution?

    What is HS

Have seen several posts which relate around .. 'wouldn't fly without HS' 'you need HS' etc. What is HS ? If I were to guess I'd assume Heading Stabilizer ... but rather ask those who know.

    Help - Gyros can I build ?

There are so many obstacles ... no wonder Gyros are fading away. I'll keep researching.

Gyroplane Legislation and Licensing in the United Kingdom

I gave it the original name ... I have no issue if you want to rename it. Leave it to you as to what you want to change it to.

Gyroplane Legislation and Licensing in the United Kingdom

I'd certainly like to come along and meet. Which Draycott is it ? Gloucester, Derbyshire, Somerset, Worcester, Staffordshire .... didn't know there were so many until I type Draycott into Autoroute

Gyroplane Legislation and Licensing in the United Kingdom

To confirm it was PRA I had contacted ... as the article http://www.pra.org/publicdl/Articles%20General/Gyroflight%20Online%20Articles/spring2006_buygyro.pdf was on PRA web url. (even though said article was from BRA magazine ... (easy to get confused) I can't give a name of an individual...

If I'm mixing up acronyms ... apologies - not meaning to offend anyone, not easy to find your way around what is what with Gyros.

    Help - Gyros can I build ?

I have swapped a number of mails with Will Garton-Jones, and had some good but not encouraging information. He is certainly of the opinion that the Aviomania G2sa design could be a very good choice 'if' it were approved. I'll see where I can get with LAA.

    Learning outsdie UK

Just on fact finding .... can you carry out your training overseas and gain your Gyro license outside UK, then 'convert' once you are back home. For example going to the US to pick up a PPL is a hugely cheaper process than in the UK, and can be condensed into a 'holiday trip' Is this an option...

    Help - Gyros can I build ?

I'll try what you advise ... and contact LAA Has there been any 'history' of LAA sponsoring a kit ? .... and what exactly does that mean, is it like a plane kit build ... they inspect you build it and examine on completion as a one-off kit ? By the way ... been swapping mails with many people...

Gyroplane Legislation and Licensing in the United Kingdom

By registered does that mean it has a current permit-to fly .... or is that separate to registration. If it is separate .. what is life of registration? If you buy 2nd hand ... are you allowed for example to change any of design, or does it have to stay a 'like for like' .... i.e. the power...

    Help - Gyros can I build ?

I am researching what I could build in UK .... from a kit. Much of the information I find seems to be circular .. ... from BRA site " all "new" machines must be sold as kits for assembly by the purchaser and that the builder must do 51% of the construction." Now I know this is not up to...

Gyroplane Legislation and Licensing in the United Kingdom

I'm extremely interested in building a Gyro from a kit, and I'll be honest struggling somewhat to find out what I can build ........ I did come across this link: http://www.pra.org/publicdl/Articles%20General/Gyroflight%20Online%20Articles/spring2006_buygyro.pdf When I contacted PRA to see if...
