No worries JM, the information elicited was very interesting to me.

Thank you Jean Claude that was most informative.

Thank you Greg. Yes the blue has worked very well both for my first, and now for this. No flight yet but certainly looking forward to it.

It is anticipated that most pilots will use only enough rudder to counteract the yaw. Sadly there have been cases where excessive and aggressive rudder inputs have had tragic results. This was the case with American Airlines 587 in 2001 where the first officers attempts to stabilise the...

Thanks Denis, seems I underestimated a bit. How does that compare with your rudder JM?

So far we have not really had the opportunity to see Blue with her 25’ Razor Blades mounted. Denis has sent these that will rectify that situation as she presently sits at Mentone with her sisters Denis’s Blackie, and the silver machine. It also allows a closer look at those marvellous new...

Thank you Wolfy, yes they aren’t too bad. As for the ’new improved’, due to the increased weight of the VX2 the rotor head has been beefed up to a double bearing system. The width was increased to allow the use of retaining clips on the teeter bolt hat bushings. The most visible change was the...

Bobby we do have have packing in the exhaust, and they are pointing directly upwards to direct sound away from the ground. If I consider them still too loud there are mufflers that can be put on.

    My Opinion on My Opinion

Just a personal observation, perhaps someone needs to wind their neck in and stop showing everyone what an unpleasant person they are. As for support, little seems to have come from this Forum for you. Rather the opposite seems to be the case.

Dave as I told Bobby, not yet as a few things to tidy up still. Obviously a huge temptation but no sense in rushing it now. Thanks very much JM, and I’ll get back to you on those measurements. Wishing you well on your baby’s progress. Thank you Scott, yes Denis has done a fantastic job. It has...

Bobby, not run the engine yet, and she will fly as soon as all the finishing touches have been attended to. Would like to get the screens finished for the EFIS, get the ADSB set-up sorted out, along with paperwork. Would like to set up a test schedule for the Phase 1 testing and get the...

Denis packed Blue, his 582 Black, and the silver kit into his magnificent new trailer and set off for Mentone where he arrived safely. The three were unloaded and are seen here sitting on the grass. The new reg has been applied. A view from the top showing the final position of the...

There is a lot of work that goes into Denis's prerotator gear box, another jewel he has created. Prerotator gearbox parts. Gearbox parts showing the inner seals of the bearing removed to allow the gearbox oil to enter. The outer seal is left in place as well as an addition seal installed to...

Prerotator gear box assembled – The oil fill plugs have been left out intentionally so there is no question for now if there is oil in the unit. It will eventually be filled with typical 80/90 gear oil. Prerotator drive back plate. This has been mounted around the output shaft. This is the...
